Sunday 27 July

Numbers were low this evening at Vitalise with many people on holiday or at Soul Survivor.

Our prayer time was led by Rebekah and we focussed on the Commonwealth Games and the call for unity. We prayed for conflicts and situations of of less serious disunity but where communities and individuals were adversely impacted by disunity.

We continued in our series from the book of Acts. Last week we’d thought about the first black African Christian recorded in the Bible, this week we learnt about the first Roman convert to Christianity from Acts 10:1-33. We discussed the challenge of reaching those who were not like us with the good news of Jesus and tried to think of modern day comparisons.
